The ban on single-use plastic straws will take effect in New Jersey on November 4th of this year. That means just next week as of this writing.
The law states that single-use plastic straws may only be given upon customer request. As such, businesses will be required to keep a small inventory of the straws.
Businesses will still be allowed to sell packages of single-use plastic straws, as well as any pre-packaged container or juice box that contains a single-use plastic straw.
