The FDA’s investigation of salmonella-contaminated onions is still marked as ongoing.  As of today, the CDC is reporting 808 illnesses among 37 states.

So far, two suppliers have been identified as possible sources of contaminated onions.

They are:

  • ProSource Produce LLC
  • Keeler Family Farms

The onions were imported from Chihuahua, Mexico.

The FDA’s advice is to not eat, sell, or serve onions that may be contaminated.  They also advise that you clean and sanitize any surfaces and containers the onions have touched.
