Campbell’s Soup has been placed among the 100 most sustainable companies in the world by Corporate Knights, based in Toronto. Placing 89th, the Camden-based company is one of only two U.S. food companies to make the index. The other, ranking 14th, was McCormick & Co.

Corporate Knights is a media and research company that seeks to promote what they call “clean capitalism”. Every year since 2005, the company has sought to find the 100 most sustainable companies and publishes the results in The Global 100 Index.

There are 12 KPI’s against which the companies are measured, including turnover rate, waste productivity, and leadership diversity. In the end, companies are given an overall percentage score and ranked.

Campbell’s has made the list numerous times before.
