We wanted to reach out and share some important updates regarding the state’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. As you may already be aware, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, emergency SNAP benefits have been in place to provide additional support for those in need.

However, it is important to note that the last month of emergency SNAP benefits will be in February 2023. During this month, you will be able to receive either $95 or the maximum benefit for your household size, whichever is greater. Recipients will receive notifications via mail by mid-February regarding their specific benefit amounts.

Starting in March 2023, your regular monthly benefit amount will resume. Additionally, in order to provide a baseline of support for all eligible SNAP recipients, all approved households will receive a minimum of $95 per month. If your approved benefit amount is less than $95, a supplemental amount will be added to bring it up to the minimum level.

If you have any questions or concerns about your benefits, please reach out to your local SNAP office for assistance.
